When you do the squat on--try to remember: butt up, feet in, and shoulders over the bar. If your shoulders do not stay over the bar then the rest of your body will have trouble getting to the bar. By keeping your shoulders over the bar you're able to get your feet on (squat on) and you'll be heading for the high bar. Hopefully that'll help!
