Cal. Golden Bears Women: Cal Sweeps Tri-Meet To Open 2008 Season
The California women's gymnastics team opened the 2008 campaign by defeating UC Davis and Towson in a tri-meet Friday night at The Pavilion on the campus of UC Davis. The Golden Bears finished with a final score of 192.525, as the Aggies took second with a mark of 189.350 and Towson took third with a score of 186.350. It was the first time Cal started a season 2-0 since 2005. In addition to the team's success, junior Jessica Kelley claimed the all-around title with a score of 38.700.
