UC-Davis Aggies: Ho Wins Vault, Beam In Aggies' Season Opener
Freshman Tanya Ho won the individual vault and balance beam to lead UC Davis to a 187.875 in a women's collegiate gymnastics dual meet at the Pavilion Friday. The visiting San Jose State spoiled the Aggies' season opener with a winning score of 189.450. The meet also represents the UC Davis debut for first-year head coach John Lavallee.Ho scored a 9.850 on vault as part of a school-record team score of 48.875 in the first rotation. She led a 1-2-3 Aggie sweep on the apparatus, as senior Carrie Lujan scored a 9.825 and co-captain Brandi Forte went 9.775 for third place.
