Ann Arbor, Mich. ¬- Junior Julie Crall won the balance beam title with 9.900 on the last routine of the evening to lead the Fighting Illini to a second place finish at the Big Ten Championships with a season-high score of 195.750 in front of 3,852 fans at Michigan's Crisler Arena. The second place finish is the highest for the Illini since it won the 1990 Big Ten Title. Following the competition, freshman Allison Buckley was honored by the conference as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, the second ever for the Illini, joining Ashley Williams in 2002.
