Dmitri Bilozerchev was a three time Olympic Gold Medalist, eight time Gold Medalist at the World Championships, and ten time Gold Medalist at the European Championships for the USSR...Became World Champion in 1983, then broke his leg in a car accident in 40 different places, then came back in 1987 to regain the World title again. An amazing feat, and an amazing gymnast.
Currently he is the assistant coach for The Ohio State University...
As for Scherbo - second only to Mark Spitz for the most Olympic Gold medals in one Olympics (6 out of the 8 possible). If he is overratted as stated...then every single other gymnast in Barcelona must have really been bad
