forum suggestion?

well on this forum fierce boards they have like a little sidebar that " status updates " i think it would be cool to have that kind of thing on here. have we ever had/thought about doing something like that? haha, idk. i've been thinking about it for awhile and thought it would be cool to have something like that on here.

Very good suggestion...I love that feature. Fierce Board uses a forum software called Xenforo (xenforo.com). That feature is standard in Xenforo. We currently use vBulletin forum software and it would be quite a big project to switch over. There is also no good 3rd party module for status updates.

There is a small possibility that we will migrate over to Xenforo in the future. I am trying to start a new forum at Proud-Parent.com...this site runs Xenforo. Once I am able to start another site using Xenforo, I will be able to better weigh the pros and cons of both programs. Changing forum software would be something that is in the far future. One or two years from now.

Some posters do a status update in their signatures, that can be changed easily and can let everyone know your latest news.
