So, how is everyone doing? I had to finally quit competiting ice-skating. It was to much to handle. I'll just do it for fun if we ever happen to go ice-skating. And I'll be able to show off some simple jumps...hehehe. But swimming is going well. What about everyone else? What other sports are you involved in?

Elena Isinbayeva(sp) of Russia has captured her crown. She pole vaulted to a new world record of 5.05m. American Jenn Stuzinsky(sp) took the silver with a disappointing jump of 4.8m.

The Magnificent Michael Phelps has done it!. He won 8 of 8 gold medals over an 8-day program, at the games that started 8-8-08 at 8:00. 8 sure was a lucky number for him.

Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world. He ran the 100m in 9.69(breakin ghis own world record) without even trying really. He stopped pumping his arms and was beating his chest with 15 or 20meters to go! Look up the race if you get a chance-it was pretty cool.

Oh and American pole vaulter Erica Bartolina is out after failing to make her first height, having passed the first couple. It's getting depressing on the track and field side, I must say. Shotputters were supposed to sweep, one fouled all, one took 7th, and one ended up with a silver!

Tyson Gay is OUT. He didn't make finals to defend his world title of fastest man alive.

For all of you who missed the men's 4 by 100m freestyle face in the pool, you missed the best race ever! The French team had been talking trash to the US in the lead-up days, took an early lead, and I thought it was over. Then, out of nowhere, in the last 50m, the US inched up on the French, clsoer, and closer, until we out-touched him! Perfection!

Brett Favre is back with the Pack! Which is good, because that's my home team, and he's the only quarterback I know of for the Packers.

Edit: He's been traded to the Jets, and his jets jersey borke the record for most one-day sales!
