Will there be an Olympic boost this year?

In 2000 and 2004, I guess gyms didn't have the boost in enrollment they were expecting do to the Olympics. In 2000, the team didn't win anything so people said that's what the problem was. In 2004, they won a lot but apparently there was still no boost. What do you think will happen this year?

I think there will be a boost. After the 2004 Olympics we had a 25% increase at our gym. However, due to the economy, I don't think it will be as much this time. Probably about 15%.

We saw significant increases in both 2000 and 2004.

As far as 2008, we are seeing increased enrollment...but not like it used to be. With gas at $4.00 + per gallon, families just don't have extra money.
