I joined a while ago, but haven't posted. This is a great message board! I have a 12yr old daughter Level 6, competes on our YMCA Gymnastics Team. She does both Y meets and USAG.

Welcome to chalkbucket! I'm a 14 year old level 8 and I go to a YMCA too! Will your daughter be at YMCA nationals this year?

Hi,

No, my daughter won't be going to Y Nationals this year because NY still has school until June 27th. Our team has many girls who can't go because of NYS Regents Exams that week, and most parents (me included) didn't want to take their child out of school. So no one from our team is going.

We went last year to Washington State and it was a blast! My daughter is disappointed, but hopefully she'll be able to go next year.
