    hey jess,
they just need to change their feet once (i.e. start left in front and land right in front, or vice versa).
If they do not change their feet it is a 0.1 deduction. They will also be deducted for lack of amplitude/height and if their legs are apart.
    Hope that helps

hey laura, i have a question about the level 2 beam rountine. for the jump with foot changed to they just changed one foot (eg. star with right infrount and finish with left) or do they start with one foot and finish with that same foot infrount?
would be great if you could help.
    thanks

judging is kind of fun, kind of boring!! it depends!! by the end of a competition when you have watched the same routine about 60 times it is definitely boring!! :P
I think it helps with coaching though, because you know what to look for and the specifics of what judges will take marks off on.
I don't really judge that much, usually just a few competitions a year so I always forget what I am doing! lol.... I need more practice!
overall I think it's good! just adds another dimension to gym!

that sucks about your knee It would be pretty hard to watch all your friends training.... I know it would drive me crazy!!
I am state level 10 and I'm at Bentleigh McKinnon. I coach there as well as at Brighton Rec.
I might see you at competitions this year.... I have level 3's but I sometimes take kids for other coaches and I also judge!
