Hi TSC,
Thanks for the kind words and the insight into the world of ballet. I have to admit to being totally ignorant about it. I'm not allowed past the drop off/pick up area and I've only been able to see one exhibition. We're in NYC and dd trains at Chelsea Piers.

Hi, I can't figure out how to answer you in the particular social group, but here's my two cents (I used to be a dancer): SAB is a really amazing school to be in, and being there is just as hard as being a compulsory-level gymnast! I think it's really amazing. If your daughter's dress code is pink, she's probably in Girls III (Girls IV start on point). By the time she gets to Girls IV it will be hard to keep doing the two, especially if she's moving to optionals in gymnastics! Just from the perspective of someone who loves both gymnastics and was a dancer, your daughter sounds amazing! I agree that it should be up to her, but I just wanted to emphasize that she must be quite talented if she is at SAB! On the other hand ballet at SAB does eventually mean giving up normal schooling ... something to consider. Ballet starts off maybe a little lighter on time than team gymnastics, but it doesn't stay that way. I trained at a top-5 ballet school and by age 10 was there 5-6 days a week. But I would take it one year at a time and see which one she likes best! -- TSC PS Does this mean you're in New York? What club do you train at?
