They should just let the girl compete. She's already training and competing at an Olympic level. Tom Daley is 14 and the European and World diving champion ( I think) and he's going to the Olympics. I've never dived myself but from what I've seen it's every bit as hard and dangerous as gymnastics. The age limits should be the same for every sport.

Even if she is 14 years old like they are saying, who cares. I mean honestly she is one of the top gymnasts in the world if not the best (nastia and her are about tied at this point) on bars.
And she is exciting to watch. If they find a way so she can't compete then it will not be a right compeittion, since the best should compete.
I just wish they would put down the age limit to where it was 14. Diving is so great to have this, and like I-Heart-Beam just said... Tom Daley just turned 14 three days ago and he is going into Beijing with quite a good chance to medal. It isn't right for Peng Peng Lee and Rebecca Bross to not have the shot to compete, and the way the FIG president is going they are going to eventually raise it to 18. It's so frustrating when gymnast reach their peaks earlier and I don't think that is going to change.
How can you guys condone cheating? Chinese using underage gymnasts make it a not level playing field for the team competition AND individual. Nobody can predict who will win, but if China uses these underage gymnasts and does win, the results will always be tainted. They should follow the rules like everyone else, but their desire to win and not lose face during their home olympics seems like it's leading them to cheat and win at all costs. Disgusting.
i don't think she should be allowed to compete. is this source reliable? i mean, some us "underage" gymnasts are probably good enough for beijing too, but we play by the rules
