L-sit walking

A great challenge, though possibly damaging for the wrists:Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube. As an alternative, he could walk forwards and backwards on parallel bars.Click through to GymnasticBodies.com, edited by conditioning guru Coach Sommers from Arizona, for more very tough conditioning ideas. I can't even think about doing something like that anymore. Someday I'll have to see if I can get in shape again.

I like it. I might add that to my/my boys' conditioning.

I'll probably do it on p-bars instead of on floor, though.

Obviously, you need to have a gymnast who can already hold an L on floor for a good duration of time. There could be many gymnasts who can do a decent L sit on parallettes or pbars but not on floor because of the lack of hip flexor flexibility and pike compression.

For those that can't you could do one where from a pike sit, you push off the ground and forward till you fall back into the L sit. Kind of tough down forwards then backwards on a floor. Fun to give them...heheh.
