Shawn will become famous soon enough
AAU is the Amateur Athletic Union. It is an alternative to USAG. They start competing at lower levels and allow younger girls to compete. Many gyms, like ours, do AAU and USAG. That way, by the time the girls start USAG they can already have several competition seasons under their belts. It has also been said that the AAU level 4 routines are a better lead-in to the USAG L5 because they do the cartwheel on the beam, jump to the high bar and use the vault table.
