Reporting on move to new gym

3 weeks ago my level 8 DD decided to change gyms...if you look back, the old gym did not handle the transition well...the good news is, once my dd's hurt feelings towards her old coaches started to heal, she is handling the transition great...she loves the new gym, the different coaching approach, more girls on team and the flexible schedule...she was "allowed" to try her tsuk vault and with one correction is landing it beautifully...the tory behind that is that in old gym she couldnt land it in her first meet attempt...coach was angry and refused to allow her to even practice the vault...that happened in feb...she is very excited to do the new vault...is working many new skills since meet season is over...we learned alot about gym relationships through this move...not all of them good...i agree with many of you that in coach owned gyms it is tough to make a friendly break...
