My DD turned 7 in July, she started gymnastics in March 2006 in a pre-school 5yr old class and was moved to the pre-team in June. She is currently level 3 and will compete in two meets in Nov as level 3 and 2 meets in Feb as level 3. If she enjoys it she will move to the Level 4 team in June after the recital. Our gym does a recital every June which the kids love.

My son will be 11 next month. He has been taking for a year and a half as well. Loves it. Our gym does not have a boys team yet but they are working on it. When he started she had one boys class and no intention of a boys team. Now there are 3 boys classes and she is in the process of getting more boys equipment.

Emily started right after she turned 5, she has a mid August birthday. She will be a second year level 4 this year and she just turned 8 in mid August. October starts her 2nd year of competition.

Madi started right after her 5th birthday in the 3-5 tumblebugs class this past June and she moved to the invite only advanced tumblebugs class in mid august and she is progressing rapidly there now and I see her moving up to mini-team 1 within a couple of months.

Thumbs up

I have four kids but only one gymnast, thank goodness! She started when she was 7 that May, then competed level 4 that Sept. and now she is 10 and competing level 9 in Dec. I don't know how you mom's take it with multiple kids.

My dd is 8, first yr level 5. She has been competing

as an advanced rec-op gymnast for 2 seasons before this. So this is her first year in levels, she has many of the level 7-8 skills, but has to work out some form issues she learned before.
