Just a tiny brag for DD

Hi again everyone!

I went to pick up DD from practice today and the coach/owner had her working out with the L7/8s. (She's a 13 year old L5). She really had a great practice and finally was able to perform her RO BHS BT for L6... YEAH!!! I kept telling her she was strong enough to do it, but she was afraid to try w/o a spot (good for her). So anyway, it wasn't pretty and it wouldn't get a very good score, but she DID it! NOW she knows she can do it - yeah!

-Lynn

She was also working BWO BHS on a straight line on the floor (granted, it's a big difference from doing it on the beam, but hey, she was still practicing it - yeah)

Wow, that must have made her feel just great. The optional training experience is definitely a fun one. A confidence booster too.

That's fantastic! I love it when I pick my dd up and find that she has learned some new skill. Congratulations to your DD! It sounds like she is going to have a successful Level 6 season.

Hi all! Thanks for all the positive comments! DD now has been doing her back walkover on the high beam! YEAH! Her confidence has just soared this week!

She and I are both hoping for L6 next season!! I haven't seen them work the bar skills yet tho... But the fact that she's done the RO BHS BT PLUS the BWO on the beam now....well, we still have all spring and summer before the next season begins in the fall!

The owner makes "vague" comments such as "she's a strong girl" and "she's ready" whatever that means!

Right now, we're just focusing on the fact that she's gotten both these skills this week - yeah!!!
