Way to go getting her out of the gym for a while! Girlie stuff always makes it better! At least for a while. Your a great mom!!! Hang in there and my dd and I will be praying for both of you.

How dissapointing! I'm sure your DD has been working hard for that opportunity at states and must be upset. As a mom, I would not want to have been in your shoes either, but it sounds like you made the best of the situation. Until you get all the doctor visits in and x-ray/scan results you really have no idea how bad the injury is and it might have been for the best. I am sure older & higher level gymnasts are used to working thru injuries but saving the knee now might allow how to get back into things quicker than maybe not at all. Who knows, long after the sorrow of missing the states heals, the memories of mommy & me momments might last a lifetime!
