MAG When do boys start hating pommel horse?

Fascinating history lesson, especially for this former horseback rider, who knew about pommels on saddles long before she knew about pommel horses! (And for the non-horsey set, a hand is about 4", so we are talking TALL horses -- think of the size of those big draft horses you see at fairs.)

DS still loves loves loves PH, and I'm hoping the love affair never ends.

This is so interesting. We are studying Medieval history. Ds will be so thrilled that his sport has connections to training for knights.
