Same thing happened to my DD at States a week and a half ago- her first season of Bronze. She cried most of the drive home, but then we looked at her scores and they were the highest she's gotten all season (including also getting her very first score in the 9s, also on Bars). After she saw that she started feeling better, but she was disappointed initially.
