I'm a dance coach and I have a great drill for improving leg drive. Place the back leg on something low, like a folded panel mat. Then kick the front leg as high as possible, keeping it super straight. Then reverse, put the font leg on the panel mat and kick the back leg. As it gets easier with good form raise the leg. Work both good and bad legs. This should help with grand jete (straight leg leaps).
