Hi all. My DD (11) has upped her hours for the Summer and has been complaining about sore hips, knees, and ankles. She isn't injured just adjusting to the new hours I think. Has anyone ever given a joint supplement (for instance, Osteo Biflex) to their gymmie? Did it help?

Thanks in advance!

I have not used it with my kids, but I take glucosamine and chondroitin myself. I have stage IV chondromalacia (basically there's barely any cartilage left) in my knee and can still run. I credit it to PT and the work I do
at my strength and conditioning gym too, but as a pharmacist I will say that glucosamine/chondroitin does work. Puma has all sorts of joint issues from 25 years of brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and he swears by it too. I would definitely check with your pediatrician before starting anything though. Good luck!
