How do you strengthen your wrists?
Hi all, I'm new to the forum :]
I'm having some problems with my wrist. When I practice doing handstands and cartwheels on my low beam at home, I sometimes over bend my hands onto the beam by just a LITTLE bit and it kills. My wrists pop and crackle a lot when I try to roll them and stuff, but that doesn't hurt. Just, the whole bending things leaves a pain right on my wrist. This really isn't something new, I just have never noticed it because I just started back to gymnastics..the last time I was in it I was like, 7.
Just wondering some ways to toughen up my wrists.
Thanks.

One of the ways is to do wrist pushups. I tried to do them but I failed, but maybe you can get it

Look at the wrist series for wrist prehab in this video.
YouTube - Wrists and ankles
You need to start the wrist pushups literally with your wrists very close to your knees, then to a trampoline table position ( hands and knees or doggie drop ) and walk your knees or feet out further from there.
Each rep should be slow, not fast.
