Tumblequeensmom:

I would suggest that you get your daughter a private or two with her coach. Some coaches and parents have the philosophy that it shouldn't be necessary. But it certainly would not hurt and it may be the very thing dd needs. A little personal, undivided attention on a particular skill or technique can do wonders for a gymnast. Just make sure your own stress level doesn't distract or interfere with dd's enjoyment of the sport. Make sure she is happy first. You've received great advice in the previous posts.

We don't have a tumble trak but we will be on the beams when the coach isn't next to it. She stands at the highest beam and we are all on the other beams too, like we rotate around but we always have our beam partner watching us and we are all safe.........
Then on bars we only have one set of bars but there is sometimes a low bar set up and we will do cast handstands on that when the coach isn't watching but theres always people watching you usually people who are higher levels then I am watching me.(im a 8)
Floor and vault the coaches are always watching except for maybe drills we will do on vault and they aren't watching us dance on floor..........
