Why is it called a Peach Basket?

Does anyone know the origin of labelling the Basket to HS (IV D) a Peach Basket in the United States? I know in Europe (at least in GB) it is called an Undersomersault to HS...Just curious...I competed for 15 years in the USA and moved to Great Britain, called it a Peach and the boys looked at me like I was stupid...
