2 questions...

1) Do you get deducted for bending your arms during a twisting jump?
(I do a 3/2 straight jump in my floor rountine & bend my arms...)

2) How do I become tighter and gain better form in my skills?
I recently watched a video of myself and I was somewhat amazed at the scores
I get with all those bent legs, little wobbles, and other simple mistakes...

the answer to #1 that i have for u is that if it is considered a skill then it is not a deduction and #2 is that you have to squeeze EVERYTHING YOU POSSIBLY CAN! you can look up drills and streches on Google that will help u to squeeze and stay straight!

Thanks for the replies. Staying tight is harder than it sounds...
especially after 8 years of not staying tight.

It feels as if I can only stay tight when I consciously really think about it.

before you go for something pick one goal on what your going to make look better. for example before you go say "im going to straighten my left knee" or whatever. and then DO IT. practice makes perfect so the more you straighten that left knee the more it will become second nature. also you can ask someone (like your coach or a friend) and ask them if that looked better.
