    Parents Why Kids Quit Sports

My child quit at 11 and I can tell you that ALL of these played a factor. Now #3 may not fit unless you look at it as she didn't have much "fun" play time. It was so serious ALL the time that they rarely got a chance to breathe. Everything was scrutinized and they were constantly pitted...

    WAG Gifts for Senior Athletes

Our coach used to take a lot of pictures during the meets and she would have one put on a canvas for them.

WAG Rips on top on finger

IMO if she is not "remembering" to tell or complain to the coach then it is not bothering her too bad. When it is bad she will remember.

Parents Sweaty palms and not allowed chalk?

We had the chatty problem at the chalk pit when the girls were young and he just moved a little to a bucket close to him. :) They could not do that non-sense by his feet. Ha Ha

    WAG Socks

'Bella' Half Toe Gripper Socks Thought these might work. I just looked up nonslip socks. I cant seem to get the link to copy in here correctly but try that in Google and see what you think.

    WAG N. Dallas gym suggestions?

Honestly I would PM Dunno. He seems to know a lot of coaches and programs. He knows a lot of programs that are not WOGA and TX Dreams.

    WAG Competition bras

I hate to say this but you may have to look into taping yourself up for competitions. I have seen some pretty good ideas on line and it allows you to do it where you can not see anything but have amazing support. Make sure you cover certain parts with gauze or Band-Aids so the removal is not...

    WAG Moving

I HIGHLY suggest you contact Dunno. PM him. He seems to know a lot about a lot of the gyms everywhere.

Parents DD Dropped a bombshell on me about her gym

I just want to add as a parent of a former gymnast that was in a situation VERY similar to yours.... RUN!!!! My DD was 11yr old L8 that just broke down and quit. Honestly like you I didn't see it coming! If she still has the desire to do gymnastics please take her to a new gym and let her know...

Parents Advice for ADHD child on team...maybe too immature?

Just my two cents: I have an ADHD daughter and although we have gone the extra medicine route and it does work we have also found that having an older gym buddie helped too. Her gym Buddie was a few years older than her and her job was to remind her what to do. Remind her it was her turn to...

    WAG Choreography?

Our gym hires a choreographer for floor but the HC does the beam routines until they get to L9 and up then that is hired too.

WAG Comp season is here- what are your traditions?

Olive Garden Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken the night before. I don't know how this started but it has to happen. We have been to meets where there was not an Olive Garden but we still had to find Italian food. She does not seem to eat this often but she always wants it the night before her...

    WAG Can you teach tight?

Don't know if this will help but I was walking thru the gym the other day and one of the coaches was talking to a group of L3 girls. She asked them when they did a certain skill if their toes were pointed with straight legs. Most of them said yes. Then she asked them to hold their leg out...

    Parents Meet report!

Where I am from 37+ would be top 3 for sure! We do compete in TX once or twice per season and it is amazing, to get to the top three there they must be 38.5+ I was shocked! My DD has placed top 5 in TX and we are really proud of anything top 5 when we go there.

WAG Concerns about daughter doing a 75 mile bike race

I understand your concern however I would let her do it. It is something away from the gym. These sweet girls need something away from the gym now and then. It helps them clear their mind. My DD scares me when she does wake boarding, tubing and water skiing buy hey they have to have a life...

Parents Tiger paws vs. Golden hands for tiny hands?

I can't help with the codes but I can tell you my DD LOVES her golden hands. We bought seconds and I was never able to figure out what made them seconds. She has had hers for 2 years now and they have held up nicely.

WAG Poll: What level are you and how long did it take you to get there?

My DD is 11 yrs old and has been doing gym for 3 years. She will probably do L8 this year.
