clear hip to handstand

I'm almost there. How do I get the extra 10 degrees to vertical?

Question

Are you not getting enough power or just shooting at the wrong time?

shooting at the wrong time. My kips afterwards are straight arm.

Over-correct and under-correct until you get it right

Try doing some where you shoot off the bar too early and don't make it to handstand and some where you shoot to late and land back where you started. Then just keep taking both sides closer and closer to handstand. In other words, don't do the same thing wrong everytime. Do it wrong a different way and it just might help you get it right.

You really have to shoot early and hard to get to a handstand.

Perfect a back extension to handstand roll on the floor--it's the same motion as a clear hip hand on bars. really try to focus on the pull as you open your shoulders to take you up to handstand, and remember to keep your hips away from the bar....lol
