Bahh, I need help. I just can't get it. Does anyone have any tips.. or steps.. Idc, anything will improve it!!!

Thank You :)

You can do it with weights on to help you to learn to jump more.
You could also do it on a line or floor beam.
My coach would make us do the layout steep out standing of a pannel mat.
Remember to also do MANY repititions!
Good luck!:)

Thanx, I think i'll just keep trying and try the weight things! :)

You could try doing them on tramp, that might help. It helped me for Back handspring back tuck.

Start the backhandspring standing on the low part of the springboard (your hands will go on the floor), this will help you a little in your BHS to get to the handstand fast and have a little power. Make sure you can do a BHS back tuck first then work on layouts. You don't want to land too low or crash on a one footed landing, because that is a foot, ankle, or knee injury waiting to happen.

Also tumbling up to a panel mat. So do the bhs on the ground and then do the lay step and land on the panel mat. This will teach you to set more.

When I do them, I like to do a handstand into Layout to make myself learn to set as long as possible, so then when I do bhs layout it makes it higher.
