Northwest Gymnastics Training Center is searching nationwide for an experienced coach to lead our very competitive girls JO team. Our established program is very competitive with a long-term vision. The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence, a strong desire for improvement, a solid background coaching compulsories and optionals with a good working knowledge of current routines and USAG requirements. This position will report to the Team Director and will need excellent leadership & communication skills, be very organized and goal oriented.

Our growing JO team is currently relatively small with a very strong preteam program and excellent preteam director and assistant compulsory coach. NGTC sponsors a TOPS program and competes levels 2 and above.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
Instruction, supervision and spotting of compulsory & optional gymnasts.
Knowledge and ability to teach current USAG compulsory routines & skills, develop optional routines & skills
Must have a wide knowledge and experience in hands-on spotting techniques.
Instruct recreational classes as needed.
Knowledge and experience of competitive gymnastics; thorough knowledge of current compulsory routines; demonstrated skill in team development, motivation, leadership, organizational and planning skills; ability to communicate efficiently & effectively with athletes, parents & coworkers.
Create short & long-term training plans & schedules, with the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to follow a rotation schedule. Assistance and input on this schedule is encouraged and req'd.
Work with Team Director on requirements, needs, goals, etc. Assist her in the development and advancement of JO Team.
Ability and willingness to promote NGTC and the NGTC Girls Team.
Minimum 5 years competitive gymnastics coaching and/or teaching experience.
Must be a current USAG professional member
Travel to competitions on weekends will be required.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred. NGTC will pay to recertify.

Pay is commensurate with experience and is very competititve. The position is for 32-40 hours/week and is available for start as early as October 1.
