Ok I am so confused about all the terminology. For example turns on beam 1/1 is that a full turn, how about if we are talking about tumbling? What's one and a half turns? What's 2/1? What's 1/2? Is this math, or shorthand?

They are just fractions. So a 3/2 is a 1.5 twist/turn. 2/1 is a double. Not sure why they use them instead of decimals. Probably so that is is not confusing in the code, which I believe is outlined using 1.1, 1.2, etc.

I would use it anytime I'm writing in reference to twisting.
Example: back 1 1/2 punch front 1/1
Would be the tumbling pass: round off, layout with one and a half twist punch front full.
