Off Topic Inside Gymnastics Magazine?

Well, I just subscribed to it about a month ago, and just received the July/August issue a couple days ago. I must say, I was a bit underwhelmed. Half of it (at least!) was just ads for mats and grips and leotards and other things. And I thought it was a bit funny that they had things in it like "countdown to the Olympics" when the Olympics have already happened! Depends on what the next issues are like, but I'm thinking I probably will not renew my subscription next year... Does anyone else get it, and if so, what did you think about it?

I simply received it because everyone who attends flipfest gets a subscription. But I'd have to agree with you. I was not impressed....at all.

I think there are a lot of ads because they need them to survive. There are not as many gymnasts out there as many other sports, so there are probably less subscribers. I will tolerate the ads in order to have a magazine dedicated to our sport. I think the articles are pretty good.
