Does anyone have any tips that have helped gymnasts get over a fear of letting go of the bar for flyaways? Other than just making them do it of course.

Letting go from a tap swing or a super slowed down giant isn't scary, but as soon as I swing faster I can't make myself let go.

This is frustrating because I can do a double layout dismount by myself and I just want to get back to feeling confident.

Thank you for any suggestions you may have. :)

Can you practice on a pit bar? Maybe do a few privates with a good spotting bars coach over the pit? All of our girls do countless let go drills over the pit with coach spotting even after they learn to flip.

Doing flyaways over the pit and also doing them on bars with a spot was what helped my DD get over her fear of the flyaway.
