At my gym we have a bases challenge going on where we have to go into a straddle handstand and then hold a one armed handstand on both sides for three seconds. No one seems to be able to do it, so what conditioning and drills do you think would be good for this? Thanks in advance

Is the one hand handstand in straddle or straight? An exercise that might be useful is what my club call handstand taps. These can be done in a straddled handstand or normal handstand. You basically hold the handstand and lift alternate hands to tap your thighs. We normally start with 3 then 5 then as many as you can. Also for the actual one handed handstand you can do the same exercise and see how long you can hold it. And when you attempt the handstand I find it easier if you walk you stronger hand so it is centralised before lifting your other hand off. Hope that helps
