L8, 25 hours/summer @ $350, 20 hours/school year @ $300. It's a new leo/warm-up year... don't know the exact cost but my guess is it will be between $300-$350 for leo/warm-up combined. About $1000 for meet fees/coaches fees, paid over 6 months. Plus another $250 this year for choreography.

Monthly tuition: $300 for 24 hours a week/$250 for 20 hours a week
Meet apparel: $100
Assessment fees: $1100 over 6 months
Choreography (if moved up): $250
Private lessons (if moved up): $180

My daughter (12) is training level 9 and practices 23 hours a week. We pay $350/month. Between September and February we have booster club dues (which pay for all meet fees, coaches fees and coaches travel and the girls room for travel meets plus the banquet) these are generally between $500-$750 depending on the meets we attend. This is split up into payments that can be made between sept and feb. Out Leos we have now were $260 but we are getting new ones this year. Not sure the cost yet but I hope it's cheaper.

Dd level 4 $250.00 for 16 hours summer practice and $220.00 for 12 hours during school. Around $1000.00 for 5 meets plus 1 state meet. Leo/warmup/bag cost around 200 for every two years. Summer camp was $140.00

Level 4 training 10 hours (TAAF) $242 per month for tuition, assessments were $426 if we paid in full rather than doing payments which we did, the practice leo is going to be about $75, but they use the previous years comp leo. We just weren't at this gym last year. I am assuming that the new comp leo will be about the same and we will also need warm-ups which at our old gym were around $150. Meet fees are going to be about $400. We will throw in some random privates as needed at $60 for a simi-private and $70 for a full private.

Quotes we have gotten for the gyms DD will try out for after the move:

Gym 1-
8 hrs training for $295 mo, $375 uniform, $600 assessments (only 3 meets prior to states)

Gym 2-
12 hrs training for $240 a month, $200 uniform, $900 assessments (6 mets before states)

Gym 3-
10 hrs for $240, $250 uniform, no assessment (fees paid as you go, 5-6 meets before states)

All quotes are for xcel silver/gold. Doesn't really seem cheaper than JO (lol)

Level 3/4 (probably repeating 3), 16 hours a week, $325/month. Total for comp leo, team tank and warm ups was around $500 I think. Meet fees are about $85-$90/meet, coaches fees range from $15-$80 with 10 meets/season. Our PA covers 1-2 meets I think.

We pay $500 per month for 30 hours a week including 4 hours of ballet. Our assessment last year was $2200 which included the leo and warm-up.

Dd level 4 $325/ month for 16 hours/week. $750 team surcharge/year, meet fees are not included. $177 warm up, $126 competition leo, $45 practice leo, $47 meet bag. Plus all travel fees. Am so glad I don't have to buy the warm up since last year's still fits.

My DD is L4- training 12 hours/ week summer and fall for $328/month. Our meet fees are estimated at 610 for the year and we have a club fee of 100 on top of that. Our comp leo is from last year but ran 120.

What level is your dd, how many hours do they go a week and what are the fees? Also, how much is the competitive leo (not including warm-up)?

My 8 year old is working on level 5 skills (competed level 4 last year). We don't know what level they will compete next season until September. She goes 16 hours a week plus 4 hours of tops training. The cost is $325/month plus we pay a total of $900 in assessment fees. We pay those over a 9 month period. The leo is about $200.
Just curious how this compares to others.

Level 9
25 hours/week-$550/month
~$1000 meet fees, paid up front in Sept
Meet leo~$300 (new every 2-3 years)
No memory about warm up cost.
I like to erase the cost from my memory :)

Xcel Gold/Platinum
14-17.5 hours/week $225/month
$225 coaching fees/year
Competition leo $200-$300 every two years
Warmup $40-100 every two years
Meet fees are paid throughout the year $60-$100/meet
I calculated it's about $400/month through out the year. Some months are less and some are more.

Level 6 JO
16 hours a week, tuition is $210/mo.
Leo is $200, warm-ups $100 (using last year's)
Meet fees are $1200
Choreography $450ish.

We pay 2 separate fees for competion. In June when the coaches pick the meets we pay a lump sum typically around $475 to cover the "actual" registration and team fees. Each year it varies slightly based on what meets are picked and what the host gym is charging, but we pay the booster the exact amount. Prior to season starting in august we pay an assessment to cover the estimated cost of coaches fees and travel expenses for the entire year. Typically it is around $500 and every girl pays the same. They use last seasons expenditures to calculate the estimate for the current season. This fee is not adjusted per meet and therefore someone who misses a meet due to illness or other does not pay less in coaches fees. They are still expected to pay the entire $500. Here is the current problem we are having with a parent. I am on the board of our non profit booster club which is where all these fees are paid to and in turn paid out to gyms for meet registration and reimbursement to coaches for their expenses and session fees. We have a parent claiming we are over charging and wants to be credited back the money we do not use. We just completed compulsory season and haven't yet had our post season state meets, which typically cost us more in coaches travel expenses. Not to mention we haven't even started optional season. So to say we overcharged is completely unjust as the higher costs are yet to come. We also keep a small reserve to cover courses or camps we send our coaches to throughout the year. Therefore the assessment is not just to cover coaches meet fees but rather coaches fees period to include meets and incidentals throughout the year. This parent is arguing that any money not spent, or overages should be divided up and credited back to the parents. We do not price gouge and we are usually pretty spot on in our estimates. We do calculate in what is left, if any, from the previous season in the follow years budget, so in a way they are getting it back. I'm just curious if we are being unreasonable or if this is normal practice to charge a flat fee and not nickel and dime each and every expense. Is it ok to simply charge a fee to compete?

DD is development (pre team). We pay by the term (Australia - 8 - 10 weeks, depending on which term...there are four terms a year) and it's $200-ish a term, give or take...obviously an 8 week term is cheaper. Compulsory training leo, which is also the comp leo for the lower levels. It was $55.

We have a L2 and we pay around $240/m. in meet season... around $200/m in non meet season (we do competitive open gym only able to do it during meet season) This is for 6 hrs. but when you combine the open gym its 8 hrs.

$650 for Competition fee's (although we are doing an additional meet which will be another $200 this year)

Leo and Warmup and Bag: $185

Next year the Leo will be around $150 because level 3's are long sleeve.

We have a Manditory Competitive Camp and that with food is about $500 for a week.

We also have another child that costs about $65/month for a 1 hr rec class.

Finishing L3
10 hrs/wk at $350 (but charged in 12 week increments, so basically $1,000 per check)
$750 assessment (meet fees), plus extra fees for sectional and state meet, so add $200
$200 leo, $250 warm up. How could such a tiny scrap of fabric and crystal cost that much?
$60 / hr. private lessons at 1-2 per month

I can deal with all of that. What actually annoys me most is the $10-15 spectator fee that we pay for every meet. I mean, really??? The assessment should pay for the actual cost of the meet, so why am I paying at the door?

A-freaking-men! Between the $25 I usually pay to get in the door (me, DW, and my son) then they're hocking raffle tickets which DD HAS To have and "shout outs" and crappy food, tshirts, and everything else. And then the cost of gas to drive there and the hotel to stay over night (we have one 'sleepaway' meet per season, and State this year for us we will get a hotel as well.). I don't even want to try to add it all up. We did six meets leading up to state which is in two weeks. Merry Christmas kid! LOL

About 3000 a year devised over 10 months. 1950 in booster 'fees' a year, again divided over 10 months. Booster fees cover everything except state fees (it might cover this to). This is level 4 and 10.5 hours a week
