I was told they have to land on the same spot on the tramp???
Yes, they might be 2015 requirement but obviously you know more than we (parents) do and and have told me more than what our coach would have told us.
Does anyone know what kind of requirement/expectation is there for the TOPS trampoline testing? This is our 3rd year testing for TOPS and the coaches don't explain to us what is being tested on the trampoline. DD is 8 going on 9 soon.
Unfortunately for us, quite a few upper level girls have left because of how unhappy they were with the coaches who often berated them. Several more have contemplated about leaving, again, because of the coaching style. Departure happens everywhere, but I feel like it occurs much more frequent...
That's pretty much what I figure. Here is a good question that's on my mind: Of the upper level (or elite) gymnasts you personally know, can you tell how happy they are with the coaches and/or gym and what gym they belong to? If anyone can help me to compile gymnast experiences of from some of...
No, I haven't. So, is there a bottom line difference between TD and Metroplex, if not, why would one parent choose one and not the other? (This thread seems to focus more on these 2 gyms and less on WOGA besides mentioning the fact that WOGA uses the "Russian" approach).

Wouldn't it be easy if I know the future? I wish I could answer the question about which track we would follow, but I can't, especially when I have multiple children in this sport. As much as I can describe each child's...
Well, like one of the posting mentioned, the gymnasts do move back-and-forth from Elite to L10 sometimes. I probably would prefer a gym that has both strong Elite and L10 in case one of my kids can't/don't want to try Elite.
Yes, I am always intrigued by the finding of MMS. It's an interesting read, and of course, need to dig deeper, like you mentioned. But I was wondering about if anyone has any comparison of these 3 gyms (or more if you can provide) on the upper level coaching style, injury-recovery support...
I don't blame the gymnasts to go back-and-forth. Elites travels a lot and these gymnasts are still kids not professional circus performers (or professional anything). They need time to relax and recover.
I wouldn't rule out any future for your daughter. Having multiple gymnasts in the family and having moved up to the higher optional level, I also had doubts about one of daughters in the past. There's is just so much to offer outside of gymnastics and so little to keep her away from injury or...

I totally agree with you regarding the home-grown history of the gymnast. We are in a good gym but the remaining gymnast (if there's any in L9/L10) is 1 or 2 out of 25-30 girls. It is very sad, and it is not due to injury.
That's really...
