I've been a member for a little while but recently my dd was invited to become an official member of her gyms preteam all stars non competition team! She is 5 as of yesterday and we are excited about the crazy ride ahead :) so I will probably be posting more often
I just want to be clear that I am NOT considering putting my 4 year old daughter through any unnecessary procedure. We are waiting and watching it. I was mostly curious about other gymnasts outcomes and treatment. Hers (the visible bump) is pretty large- the size of a quarter in diameter and...
Sorry I didn't think to utilize the search feature. Thanks for the responses. We are doing nothing for the time being but it's a relief to know gymnastics does not cause them!
Has anyone dealt with a ganglion cyst before? Luckily my dd is young (4), but she has developed a dorsal ganglion cyst. I can't help but to think that it could have possibly been caused by gymnastics. She has taken classes regularly since 18 months old and now does 1hr twice per week. Could that...
I haven't been up since 2011 (I'm in the carolinas), but M & M seemed to have a great preschool rec program. It's owned by the Memmels and although it wasn't the "nicest" gym I've been to they had a great space upstairs for the preschool program which I thought was pretty cool.
I LOVE when you've been having that apprehensive wait and see feeling and then they come back and surprise the heck out of you! It's such a great feeling. Congrats to your dd on powering through!
Thanks guys! I am one proud mommy. She has a few skills (no press handstands or bhs!) but I am totally not pushing her at this age. She goes to rec class twice a week with older girls because she started young, but luckily the coaches don't push her skills and just let them come as do. She wants...
Haha I say that in jest ;) but really I am sooooo proud of my dd. She is still three and we switched gyms in February. Her new gym is conditioning focused and this is one of their conditioning exercises. She could not even hulahoop with a small hoop when she started there a few weeks ago...
Hey y'all! Obviously I'm new here :) We are in NC (Charlotte area) and dd turns 4 this month. She's been in gymnastics regularly for 2 years and we recently switched to a more serious gym in the area. I had no idea when we started gymnastics what a whirlwind it might be and we are really just...
My dd is almost 4 and is 35lbs. She *usually* wears a gk size CS but I won't order them or buy them without first trying them on because they vary greatly. One style gk CS is too small another to large through the chest. I would send it back or you can try to sell it.
