My DD will be 10 at start of optionals but turns 11 before end of season. Will she compete in an age range or with ten year old then 11 year olds. Thanks. Hope that makes sense.
I heard no nail polish rule us because if a child is injured it makes it very difficult to assess for signs of shock and perfusion if you can't see the true nail bed.
Yes I do think as the kids move along everyone begins to chill because eventually gymnastics humbles everyone, even the super talented. The parents I was talking about are the ones who only ever post the 9.5 and above routines and who clearly believe their DD is the next Olympian. I just think...
Yes there are crazy moms in our gym world. My pet peeve is the moms who feel they need to post every routine on Social media when their child excels. It creates bad feeling among the moms who's kids are struggling. Please parents stay humble and concentrate on the sport and the wonderful lessons...
Why is it not a good indicator of future success? Is it because other factors come play as the kids age? Just curious I would have thought it was a good predictor.
It seems they should delay results until everything has been checked and verified. My DD missed by a few points so even with errors I'm sure at this point she hasn't made it, but how hard on the parents who's kids made it. I would be so nervous until it was confirmed.
My DD did not qualify as a ten year old to National Testing this year but was within a few points of the 82 cut off. I heard there had been some errors in calculating scores for her age group. Could things change or does anyone know if the cut off will change.
