    "moving up" question

m belief is once you compete at a different level, you should continue competing in that level. but i often see girls compete with my daughter as a level 5, and not come in first place, and at sectionals they compete as a level 4, so at states they compete as a level 4 imho, i thinks that is...

Should sick gymnast compete at states?

this past weekend, a gymnast threw up on the runway on the vault..:ill: so i would say no.. do not compete, it was gross for the others, and i am sure the poor girl was so embarassed.. states.. is not the olympics, there are 2 seasons, and it is just another meet, there will be many more..

i was recently told by a parent of a level 4 gymnast, that there is a deduction for not using a arm circle for a vault. my daughter is a level 5 and doesnt use this before her vault. how true is this..

    new to level 5

you are so right when it comes to scores. you never know what is a winner score, and as lonng as you see your gymnast creeping up their score every meet, that is an accomplishemnet.

i have a son that plays baseball and basketball, it is no different keeping score in those sports as gymnastics. you work so hard , this is a reflection on how well you practice...we love to see our children suceed in sports, and have fun, but it is actually the child who is concerned if they...

    new to level 5

hi, my daughter is 8, and just competed her first level 5 meet. what a difference in the scoring from level 4 to level 5. so my advice is to make sure they are ready to move up, because as level 4 goes to 5, there is not alot of 9's.lol
