Now I definitely know that I should take her to the doctor which I will however I wanted your opinions on what it could possibly be. My daughter told me that when she hits the board on a vault she gets a tingle in her back. I’m wondering if this is an injury in process or if she just needs to...
I don’t have advise but I am in a similar boat so you aren’t alone. I don’t know what to do either. The parents here are pretty amazing and seem to give really good advice.
Thanks everyone!
She’s in the gym 9 hours a week. I think she knows the difference between soreness and pain. I’ll check with the back...I worry about permanent damage since you hear all the time how gymnasts bodies are so beat up later in life. I certainly don’t want that for her. 10 years...
Is it normal for your gymnast to be sore all the time? And by all the time I mean, 5 or more days a week. She’s not hurting unbearably but she mentioned that her arms, legs and back almost always hurt.
She’s newly level 3 JO after having been in a pre team program that didn’t stress proper...
I'd tell her it's a lead by example situation. She doesn't need it out but her girls can't have any jewlery so...as her coach she can show solidatiry by taking it out.
I had this same question, although my dd is 10. And i was told that maybe she *could* make it but it's not a likely scenario unless she blasts though the first several levels. It's a hard road and when I broke it down, I figured she's got 5 years to make it though SEVEN levels.
I try not to...
I know this is a different bone but my dd broke her radius clean in half February 2017. She didn't have full bone healing until 8 months after her break. She was able to do light weight bearing activities around 6 months post surgery but it took a good 8 months before she was 100% healed.
I...
Hi!
So, my daughter has expressed an interest in collegiate gymnastics. Here's the problem. I've been told that you need to start very young to get the experience and levels needed to even be considered for college teams. And that it is all about the gym you're at. If you're at the wrong gym...
Thanks! Her coach basically said what all of you said. We’re at a new gym and don’t know her coach well so it’s good to see she had the same answers as all of you!
Thanks all!! She doesn’t have any hardware left in so maybe the bandage and let wrap will work!
She was so upset when she tried to use them and it hurt.
Thank you! He did tell us to use the cream for appearance but didn’t say anything about sensitivity. We will certainly get some and try it. Can’t hurt.
And we will get some pre tape to try. Thanks again!!
