Assuming it is only muscle soreness, I would suggest she do something simple, such as cartwheels to break down the lactic acid(the chemical that make muscles sore) And she should be felling no pain within a day or two.
A girl at my former gym was just warming up tumbling by doing a simple round off, rebounded, flying backwards, then ending up catching herself with her arms behind her resulting in a broken elbow, which kept her out of most gymnastics for several weeks.
Well my two fav events were bars and vault. I just got really nervous. I could do the routines pretty well in practice but in comp it is just like I froze up.
It is the thought of competing that makes me nervous. I don't mind practice. Really I love practice. I don't like being put under pressure to do something though.
