DD started the gym the summer she turned 6.
Year 1 - levels 1,2,3
Year 2 - Pre-team
Year 3 - Old level 5
Year 4 - New level 6
Year 5 - Level 7
It's an interesting roller coaster. So long as she is happy we will continue to enjoy the ride.
We use a sock bun. I roll DD's hair down into it to avoid a lot of wrap around. I then use the thread and "C" needle to sew in place with embroidery thread. I have never used a bobby pin in her hair. The bun doesn't move at all.
I think there should be a Leo anonymous. I can't resist the compulsion to buy more. Between my two DD's we probably have 40. Might I add the girls wear the same size
My DD's gym canceled. She was going to go for 1/2 practice but the gym decided to give everyone a night off. Although with the weather here might have been better for her to be at the gym.
My DD has long hair. To avoid a lot of wrap around we roll her hair down into it. Not only does it keep it more secure but it avoids the "2nd" bun look.
You can do either. If you sew without the sock just make sure you are going through the tied back hair and under the hair tie. As for the thread... I don't secure the end until I've went all the way around the bun. Then I just tie the end to the beginning. Hope that helps.
We use a sock bun. Much smaller than the store bought bun makers and softer. We learned that rather than wrapping her hair around it and putting the hair tie we start at the ends of her hair and roll it down, covering the bun while we go. Then secure with a hair tie to get the smooth look. We do...
