Back to school is by far the most difficult in our house. With 4 little ones all doing something, I am taxiMom! We do many dinners and homework in the car. It becomes a routine and by spring it's second nature.
We just moved (houses), so it's 10 min drive. Used to be 20 min. It's about half hour from school though, which I imagine is going to not be fun once school starts.
My dd has hyper flexibility and it seems like her legs don't really straighten either. Even in her splits ( which are very easy for her), the knees are slightly bent.
I think I've read somewhere on here that ankle weights aren't such a good idea, so I'm following this thread to see any more ideas.
I'm not in any wayman expert, but my dd was told to sit in a straddle and lift one leg, repeat x25, then the other leg. Hands just sitting not holding weight.if that makes sense.

My son did cheer last season. He had a blast, was 8 at the time. There were 9 kids on the team, 4 boys. They called themselves the stunt crew instead of cheerleaders.
Unfortunately their cheer gym closed so we moved to gymnastics. He loves it.
Ouch. I'm following this thread because I want to be prepared.
My dd has a little, not even rip more like a beginning of a callous tear. Her coach said they are starting to look like gymnast hands, made her day!
