WAG What does it take to post a meet schedule on line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

some of the responses to this rant sounds like parents defending their children. It's ok to love your kids gym and their coaches and still admit that sometimes they drop the ball. It's not gym bashing. Sounds like they dropped the ball. That sucks for this parent. It's messing with his/her...

Parents Wants to quit because of coach

Anyone else wanted to say: This might be your last chance (before the fun coach returns); this is your opportunity to run, run away! LOL If she loves it enough, she'll try to hold out for fun coach. And even if she drops out, if she loves it enough, she'll return to it.

Parents Does ballet help with gymnastics & vice versa

You Gigi :) would love to know the reason for not allowing pointe; maybe fear of ankle injury? affecting dynamic tumbling- ballet is kind of slower, if you tumble with that same pace - doesn't look quite right, and penalties for lack of speed (? if that's the word). I think the technique of...

    WAG Spotting on high beam

Sounds like your gymmie is looking for reassurance from her coach- the only words she has for it, is a "spot". Maybe the coach can give her a choice: practice on the low beam until you feel confident enough to do it on high beam, if you choose to go to high beam I will spot by standing there for...

Parents Does ballet help with gymnastics & vice versa

Staying "tight" vs "relaxed"- yes, it gets in the way on FX at gym and at ballet, but she has learned to keep reminding herself of where she is. Gym coach yells: you're not at dance! Dance teacher yells: this is not gymnastics! LOL it's funny now ...

Parents Had a nightmare about gymnastics, which leads me to a question...

It's bad enough when I'm awake, think I would be very worried if having nightmares about gymnastics:D

Parents What would you say to younger gym parent self? What do you wish someone had told you?
