My daughter had a gym change for similar reasons. One of my referees was not making the decision sooner. She ultimately decided in our case, but even she wishes I would have done it for her.
some of these coaches meet with 15-20+ or more kids a week either online or in person and if she was perhaps caught off gaurd in that moment it could have been an awkward encounter. could she have also been there watching her own daughter? I'm not trying to make excuses, obviously she was...
our 7/8 girls go 19 hours but by the time they actually get out of there it's never only 19/week. there is always something they need to finish or go in early for. I'd say it's closer to 20.
my DD started training them after her 2nd year of level 4 (on tramp with a coach) where she also did a score out season of 5. but she is now a 2nd year 7 and still doesn't "have" the skill on the floor.
she said she also has some production stuff in the works and she just wrote a book. plus she wants to do more with sea world so she might just be realizing there isn't enough time to do it all.
it's level 7 beam series here. she has had it a few times and it's gorgeous. her coach says she lacks confidence and once she believes in herself it will be back for good. easier said than done apparently.
Agree with others above. Mine was the weaker more bendy one for what seemed like ages. Now she's the strongest bars on her lvl 7 team. It all evens out eventually! They just have to be willing to work a bit harder for it!
I will sometimes bring work, but we have a party room and I will sit in there and enjoy peace and quiet. Typically only if it's bad weather and I'd spend an hour in traffic each way though.
