    Tic toc

The element penalties for a tic tic include lack of split (0.1 / 0.3 depending on how great the lack of split is - I'd say 0.3 from what you're describing) and body alignment (shoulders). Plus any bent arm / bent leg / flexed foot deduction etc

    Move clubs or not?

If it makes life easier then it's worth considering. Why not go along to the other clubs to get a feel for them/speak to parents. You could speak to the coaches and ask whether there's a waiting list etc? It can't harm.

    Coaches Vestibular

I've read a couple of things on here about certain behaviours being 'vestibular'. I've never heard of this before I read it on this site and Google tells me that it's to do with balance and spatial awareness. Can anyone explain it further? What exactly is vestibular and how / when does it...

    Anyone "watching" the English?

Yes I know, that's why I added that bit lol. It is pretty though and I've seen older girls use it effectively

    Anyone "watching" the English?

It's mixed with Vivaldi and is really pretty (although I'm currently using it for a pair of six year olds ;-) )

    Anyone "watching" the English?

The piano guys do a version of let it go. It was probably this version that was used, which is fine as it's not Disney.

    Competitions on a School day

My older daughters have missed a couple of Fridays over the last couple of years due to podium training at BG events. The school have been very supportive and encouraging. A note in their journal explaining what the event is and why they need the time off has always worked.

Coaches 14 year old struggling with back somersaults

It's a round off back handspring tuck back somersault on floor. Yes, ordinarily I would spot, but she insists that this makes it worse. This makes it hard to take her back to the last point of success as that would involve spotting her. The only explanation she can give for her dislike of...

Coaches 14 year old struggling with back somersaults

Hi I have a 14 year old girl who learned tuck back somersaults fairly late, at around the age of around 11. She took a long time to learn the skill and has never been completely confident with it, nor has she got great form. The skill is safe though and she has performed the skill regularly...

    Acrobatic Gymnastics

That makes sense and is really sad to read. Acro is such an amazing sport, and in particular mixed pairs is breath-taking. Are you still competing?

    ACRO grades and questions.

Hi Yes, your daughter is right, Grades 1 and 2 used to be Prep A and Prep B - they changed their names following the introduction of the NDP 8 (National Development Plan 8). The grades go from 1-6 pairs, plus out of age; and 2-6 groups, plus out of age. Gymnasts need to be in their 9th year...

    Acrobatic Gymnastics

I love acro, and mixed pairs is my favourite too. Tell me, why do you say it's a dying sport? That isn't my experience of acro at all, but I'm really interested as to why you think it is?
