My DD trained at another gym while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. We did talk to her head coach about it in advance and she listed the areas she wanted her to work on. If she had not practiced for those 2 weeks I would imagine it would have been very difficult for her when she returned.

I don't think money is the best choice to motivate an athlete. Shouldn't the achievements be there reward?
