Dd just got Under Armour pants, 2 different styles and they both work for her. Other than that I have to say most designer jeans do not. Only had luck w joes brand... Try them!!! She's worn everything from old navy to true religion.. She is a typical gymnast body(lean and muscular ) and Joe's...
Compared to what everyone else seems to do, our's are very spread out. One sometimes two a month from September to May. Is it a regional thing? From what I know we can start competing in August, but regardless states are in May. I hear of some people saying there are two "seasons"... Maybe fall...
Ok, I was unaware that it was started in the US.
As a new member browsing, I assumed it was an international website. Therefore, wondering why no US :)
Wow, we are expected to fundraise, and put time in for meets etc. All funds go to Club or booster club I guess ( we are new to this ) and with such large teams, we are lucky to see much break at all. Maybe a meet fee if we are lucky.
Just curious? When I browse forums it lists Canada, UK, and Australia/New Zealand. There seems to be such a strong US prescience on the sight. Not sure it makes a difference, but was a surprised.

Wow. How on earth do you get them to drink the green smoothie? I cannot even get my picky little one to drink a fruit smoothie.
A great way I have found to get them to drink green it adding citrus fruits !!!! Takes the bit out :)
OzZee, true.... I do think say level 8-10 girls wouldn't go considering the training they are already receiving, and time commitment.I was wondering about all the levels in between, if it is frowned upon. And from your post and others it does seem like it could go either way. Some coaches would...
Can anyone offer any insight as to wether a high level club would be opposed to having a gymnast take a week off during the summer to get the camp experience ? Again not there yet .. Just curious :)
Pretty much what I was wondering... Thank you ! :)
And for those of you from said "elite gyms ".... Do girls go away to summer camps? I would think no, but again I heard "mom talk" about so and so going to another camp... Not sure if they were going or wanting to go, I should say. Again...
I am asking bc I have overheard other moms talking about this at dd's gym. Mind you we are at a gym that produces elites and recent Olympians... So my question is do you send your dd's for the experience, or is it more for kids/ coaches to be exposed to better/ different training methods bc...
New member here, but have been learning so much. Happy to support this site! Hope many new (and not new) members feel the same way and join in to show support ( I know a lot already do )! Thanks and best of luck :)
Grocery stores and malls are always a big hit. And it's amazing how just one or two back handsprings (even cartwheels sometimes ) will make people at a park, field, or school, stop and stare, and ask the inevitable question, "does she do gymnastics?":)
This comment makes me wonder if there is judgment placed on certain regions? Again, just curious :) Although, the comment made by gopuckgo did come off as a bit cavalier...IMHO
