    WAG Leotards compulsory vs optionals

Compulsory is $100 Optional is $170. Same style should last between 2-3 yrs. This is pretty much on the low side from what i have compared. Some gyms are $200 for compulsory and $300 plus for optional.... Our gym figures that for some L2 or L3 girls, they are not quite sure if they really want...

WAG Advise for mom for first meet

I always start off the season telling DD that 9s are hard to come by in the first meets. Then I tell her that whatever her AA score is! it is a great starting place. The goal is to try and have the AA move UP throughout the season....other than that! a final 'have fun!' And 'I love you' is...

For P bars, many gyms have the basic set, AAI classic bars. They are designed for basic gymnastics and up to some higher level skills. They are not for young MEN working L8 and up. The larger kind of FIG PBars, which are bigger, heavier and can go higher up are like the AAI elites. IOW the rails...

WAG Why is chinese practice so cruel?

US training is Child Centered. High value for the child 'happiness' Chinese is Country centered....less value on the child's 'happiness'. Many countries think that the US training is too 'feel good'. I am happy I am in this country.

Parents Scoring: Level 4 vs. Level 5

Score requirement to move is 32 i think.....last season at our gym, L4 girls who scored 36 and 37s were getting 34s and 35s at L5....occasionally 36. But I have heard that you do not need to score out of 5....

Just a question, what kind of P-bars? AAI Classic only go up to 76.75 ". This can be tough for taller athletes, and skills past L8. AAI Elites go all the way up for the big guys. This was a MAJOR problem at our gym until they got the Elite P Bars....Not only were the big guys limited working...

WAG ADHD gymnasts and staying tight/sticking stuff?

I have always told my ADHDer that as long as her can navigate the pitfalls, and master the condition, he really can use it to his advantage. It is hard when they are little and they can't control it....teachers generally don t like it! But I have never considered it a 'disability'. Why do you...

WAG ADHD gymnasts and staying tight/sticking stuff?

I have an ADHD level 8... At first he was very 'sloppy' and always did the little stick it 'dance' as we called it. Almost like a shuffle! Drove us crazy. As he grew older, his gymnastics matured. As an ADHD person he also has incredible ability to hyper focus too. Don't worry, she will grow...

Parents Advice about a coach needed please..

This is a very emotional sport for the kids, the parents AND the coaches. So there was some mis-communication. So your 7 YO is not cooperating with the coach they way she would like. So the parent is being a 'parent'.....YOU ARE FORGIVEN! don't worry about it....I have voiced lots of 'feelings'...

    MAG What is Future Stars?

Generally a good comparison would be the TOPS program for girls. Big difference Is the age, for TOPS it is 7-10 and for the boys it's really 9-13.

    WAG Grips!

DD is small for her age. The smallest on the team. Working L5, competing 4. She has GINASTA usa because they are small and soft. She hates grips though and hardly wears them.
