    Equal time for all events

We usually do three full event rotations and split one event in half for conditioning. Each rotation is about forty minutes so one day could be 40 minutes of stretch/warmup/light conditioning, then 40 minutes of bars, 40 minutes of beam, 40 minutes of floor, and then last rotation split, so 20...

    Frustrated With Myself

I know exactly what your talking about!! I'm the same way so I get it. It is really hard to be a perfectionist and be a gymnast, but it can also be helpful. I've found that just trying to talk yourself out of those thoughts that say, "Ugh what's wrong with me why am I not doing this when I know...

    WAG Beam Choreography

I would say look at gymnasts beam/floor routines and find what you think suits you best too. Maybe looking at dance choreo would help too?

    WAG Rips!!

I am a gymnast that has naturally soft hands. Sadly, too soft, so they rip all the time. I've had over 20 rips while my teammates mostly have had 5-10. Any tips or products you can recommend would be very much appreciated. Thank you! :)

    Creativity and Gymnastics

I think creativity can be shown in any routine (floor, beam, and even bars) through the way the gymnast chooses to execute it. Floor: the music, dance elements, and even the skills can show creativity. The skills may have a specific element connected to them that gives off s certain feeling and...

    Rips!

I am a gymnast who sadly has naturally soft hands. Too soft, so they always rip and won't toughen up. I've had over 20 rips while my teammates haven't passed 5/10. I really would love some advice on how to keep my hands from ripping/ how to care for them. Thanks!!

    Practice Hairstyles and Headbands

I put my hair in a high ponytail, then I braid it and tie it off, then I twist it up into a bun. My hair is long so that way my hair won't get in my way. This may work for your hair. Hope it helps!!!

    Packing For A Meet?

I bring: -flip flops (because I wear sneakers to meets and if it's a long drive home I may want to wear something more comfortable) -a change of clothes (in case you go anywhere after the meet) -extra hair stuff (hairspray, bun net, hair ties, pins, etc.) -tape, prewrap, antibiotic cream...
